Welcome to The Tin Man Art.com. Thanks for stopping by!

All the pieces here are handmade from antique tin ceiling tiles. Michele and I put a lot of love and passion into our work and we hope you enjoy our web site. We hand-salvage these tiles from old buildings all over the country. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind work of art, hand-colored with homemade paints and stains. All works are signed and dated with the tile's history. Most are sold before we've even had a chance to photograph them.

2012 is going to be a very exciting year for us. We are branching out and opening a second studio in Burbank, CA., so we will be doing a lot more festivals and special events on the west coast. The California Gift Show at the LA Convention Center and The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta are just two of the many new events on our schedule for 2012.

We've been working a lot of custom work recently, back-splashes and unique large scale wall pieces! Michele and I are so thankful when folks send in their photos! Our collectors over the past years have been sending in more and more photos of our work in their homes. Just click here to attach your photo to an email and send it in to us!

People always ask us where we get our tin. It usually comes from small store fronts and old buildings in "Anytown, USA". Recently we acquired an MAJOR stash of tin from a building on the National historical record located in Wheeling, WV, right on I-70. The tin from this building is just beautiful and the story behind it is even more amazing.

The Mount De Chantal Visitation Academy was built at the end of the Civil War and was the first Vatican sanctioned convent to accept Civil War orphans from both union and confederate families. The building had 1000's of square feet of amazing architecture and we collected massive amounts of antique tin ceiling tiles and other goodies prior to the wrecking ball taking it down in November of 2011. We now have some amazing new patterns that will blow you away!
